Dragon Age Origins had one of the best NPC behavior systems because it allowed the community to design comprehensive scripts for each party member. The AI/NPC behavior/tactics of the party is atrocious. Note: I played this game on Xbox Nightmare difficulty.ġ.
This review summarizes my thoughts on the substantial amount of issues that really degraded the experience along with some of the few positives. Which is frustrating since I could see so much potential with this game and yet really dumb things held it back in big ways. This despite having some very good positives.
Unfortunately, I came away thinking that DA:I may in fact be one of the most overrated RPGs ever made. I thoroughly enjoyed the Dragon Age Origins series, and consider it among the best RPGs of the last 10 years (with Skyrim #1). I completed Dragon Age Inquisition after wanting to play the game for the last 3 years.
